- Abnormal GMV reduction in specific brain regions suggests underlying neural mechanism alterations in acute EP.
- These findings may indicate functional disorders in somatosensory, motor, and cognitive functions associated with acute EP.
- VBM offers a potential diagnostic method for identifying the cause of acute EP and opens new avenues for research.
