Background:

Fibromyalgia (FM) is a controversial condition with unclear pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management.
FM is characterized by invisible symptoms, lacking specific biomarkers, leading to patient isolation.

Purpose of the Study:

To propose a novel conceptual framework for understanding fibromyalgia as a "misconnection" syndrome.
To offer a holistic perspective on FM assessment, management, and patient representation.

Conceptual analysis and synthesis of existing FM research.
Development of the "misconnection" framework integrating biological, psychological, and social factors.
