11β Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase - 1 activity in type 2 diabetes mellitus: a comparative study

Activity of 11 beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11β HSD 1) is elevated in type 2 diabetes, particularly in lean individuals. Fasting blood glucose is a key predictor of this enzyme’s activity.
