    Summary

    Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common liver condition linked to metabolic syndrome. Lifestyle changes and new drugs like obeticholic acid show promise for managing non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).

    • Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) encompasses simple steatosis (NAFL) to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and cirrhosis.
