Area of Science:
- Automotive Engineering
- Computer Science
- Internet of Things
Background:
- In-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems offer numerous devices and services.
- Current IVI systems lack effective resource management for enhanced user experiences.
Purpose of the Study:
- To propose a novel framework for efficient management of IVI resources.
- To improve user services through better control of IVI devices and content.
Main Methods:
- Introduction of an IVI-Master for centralized resource control.
- Classification of IVI resources into personal and shared categories.
- Management of resources using the Lightweight Machine-to-Machine (LWM2M) standard.
Main Results:
- The proposed scheme effectively manages IVI resources for users.
- Experimental results demonstrate successful implementation and testing.
- The new resource control scheme exhibits lower bandwidth consumption compared to existing methods.
Conclusions:
- The developed IoT-based IVI resource control framework enhances service delivery.
- The proposed system offers a scalable and efficient solution for managing diverse IVI resources.
- This approach paves the way for more sophisticated and user-centric IVI experiences.
