  • Chemical analysis showed the antrolith composed of 65% calcium phosphate, 8% calcium carbonate, and 27% albuminous material.

Implications:

  • This case highlights the diagnostic and surgical management of maxillary antroliths.
  • Understanding the composition aids in differentiating antroliths from other sinus pathologies.
  • Surgical intervention can resolve symptoms associated with antroliths and co-existing sinusitis.
