Abstract:
From a research work on 40 upper limbs of nonembalmed specimens, several narrow passages for the brachial plexus and the axillosubclavian vessels are described, extending from the neck and mediastinum to the lower border of the pectoralis major. The effects of sustained forced positions are also discussed, and the role of static and dynamic factors in producing compression is analyzed.
