Abstract:
No treatment program for breast cancer is complete without arrangements for rehabilitation. This includes consideration of the emotional and psychosocial factors, as well as the physical problems that arise as the result of the treatments. The most important person in planning rehabilitation is the treating physician, but a multidisciplinary team provides optimal results. In recent years, the most dramatic improvements in rehabilitation have been seen in the psychosocial area, but improvements have also been made in restoring the patient to normal physical activity.
