Insights
This study corrects errors in a previous publication regarding Figure 3 and author references. It clarifies that standard deviation and bandwidth units are expressed in degrees (0-360°) for improved accuracy in nuclear cardiology research.
Area of Science:
- Nuclear Cardiology
- Medical Imaging Analysis
Context:
- Corrections to a published study are necessary for accurate scientific dissemination.
- Ensuring precise data representation is crucial in diagnostic imaging.
Purpose:
- To rectify inaccuracies in Figure 3 (sensitivity/specificity swap).
- To provide the correct author list for reference 14.
- To clarify the units for standard deviation (SD) and bandwidth (BW) as degrees (0-360°).
Summary:
- Figure 3 has been corrected to accurately display sensitivity and specificity.
- Reference 14 has been updated with the correct author names.
- Units for SD and BW are now consistently presented in degrees (0-360°) across the abstract, results, and Table 3.
Impact:
- Ensures the integrity and reproducibility of the research findings.
- Facilitates accurate interpretation of myocardial perfusion imaging data.
- Improves clarity for researchers and clinicians utilizing this study's results.
Abstract:
In Figure 3, sensitivity and specificity were interchanged. The corrected Figure 3 is shown below. The author names listed in reference 14 have been corrected; the correct reference reads: Nakanishi R, Gransar H, Slomka P, Arsanjani R, Shalev A, Otaki Y, et al. Predictors of high-risk coronary artery disease in subjects with normal SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging. J Nucl Cardiol 2016;23:530-41. The units of standard deviation (SD) and bandwidth (BW) in the abstract, results and in table 3 are expressed in degrees from 0 to 360°.
