  • Utilized genome-wide data from 3,564 unrelated adolescents of European ancestry.
  • Assessed neurocognitive performance across memory, executive function, social cognition, and complex cognition.
  • Employed GREML to estimate SNP-heritability (h²SNP) of SI and genetic correlation (rG) with neurocognitive domains.

Main Results:

  • Nearly 17% of adolescents reported SI.
  • SNP-heritability for SI was marginally significant (h²SNP = 11%).
  • A significant genetic correlation was found between SI and emotion identification (rG = 0.79).
