First Report of Pythium aphanidermatum on Basella rubra in Japan

A new plant disease caused by Pythium aphanidermatum has been identified in Indian spinach (Basella rubra) in Japan. This pathogen caused severe rot, destroying over 50% of plants in a commercial field, highlighting a significant agricultural threat.
