Background:

Diverticulosis is a condition characterized by the formation of small pouches in the digestive tract.
The vermiform appendix is an infrequently reported site for diverticular disease.

Observation:

This study presents three cases of appendiceal diverticulosis.
The cases highlight the unusual occurrence of diverticula within the appendix.

Findings:

Appendiceal diverticula are generally multiple and acquired, not congenital.
