UBASH3A gene polymorphisms, specifically rs1893592 and rs3788013, are associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) susceptibility in the Chinese Han population. UBASH3A mRNA expression is also elevated in RA patients, suggesting its role in disease pathogenesis.
