Relationship Between Severe Respiratory Depression and Codeine-Containing Antitussives in Children: A Nested

Codeine use in children for cough is rare and not significantly linked to severe respiratory depression. This study found no increased risk, even in a large Japanese cohort, suggesting safety concerns may be overstated.
