Using decision fusion methods to improve outbreak detection in disease surveillance

Decision fusion (DF) methods significantly improve disease outbreak detection. Bayesian networks offer superior performance, enhancing positive predictive value by 77% compared to individual outbreak detection algorithms (ODAs).
