Background:

Nasal tip projection is crucial in Asian rhinoplasty.
Traditional methods often involve open skin incisions for strut structures.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the efficacy of barbed threads for nasal tip projection in Asian rhinoplasty.
To assess the long-term effectiveness of this minimally invasive technique.

Main Methods:

Barbed threads with sharp barbs and umbrella-like splits were implanted.
Autologous micronized fat tissue grafts were used for volume replacement when needed.

Barbed threads have been used in approximately 1,200 rhinoplasties since 2003.
