Toll-Like Receptors (TLRs) Expression in Contracted Capsules Compared to Uncontracted Capsules

Toll-like receptors (TLRs) 2 and 6 are more frequently found in breast implant capsules with contracture. This suggests a role for these immune receptors in capsular contracture development, though not in higher concentrations.

- These findings suggest a potential role for TLR2 and TLR6 in the pathogenesis of capsular contracture.
