Overcoming Esthetic, Functional, and Biomechanical Challenges With Assistance From Orthodontic Intrusion

Abstract:
Orthodontic intrusion can be utilized to assist clinicians in meeting various esthetic, functional, and biomechanical problems. In this full-mouth reconstruction case, such therapy was used to initiate a multiphase treatment approach for an adult patient who presented with numerous concerns about her function and appearance, including a significant diastema, active wear on her lower anterior teeth, and chipped crowns. A variety of procedures conducted over a period of 6 years that comprised implant placement, gingival recontouring, orthodontic repositioning, and crown lengthening, along with the use of a Kois deprogrammer to equilibrate the final restorations, were utilized to achieve a successful outcome.
