Summary

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is a safe and effective treatment for severe aortic stenosis (AS), comparable or superior to surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR). Its indications are expanding to include low-risk patients and other aortic valve diseases.
