Developing sound reasoning relies on monitoring and inhibiting cognitive biases. This fMRI study found that successful bias inhibition involves the Anterior Cingulate Cortex (ACC) and right Lateral Prefrontal Cortex (LPFC), with LPFC activity decreasing in adults.
