Abstract:
A 29 year old homosexual male presented with acute renal failure caused by acute myeloma. Subsequent investigation demonstrated antibody to the AIDS-associated virus human T-cell lymphotropic virus III, (HTLV-III/LAV/ARV). The association between lymphadenopathy syndrome and multiple myeloma is discussed.
