False resistance to pyrazinamide (PZA) in tuberculosis diagnostics can occur due to high bacterial inoculum. Reducing this inoculum in the BACTEC MGIT 960 system improves PZA susceptibility testing accuracy for Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
