Reduced default mode network functional connectivity in patients with recurrent major depressive disorder

Major depressive disorder (MDD) shows reduced default mode network functional connectivity (FC) in recurrent cases, contrary to previous findings. This decreased DMN FC is linked to medication use and symptom severity in MDD patients.
