The structure and stability of mRNA molecules regulates gene expression, as mRNAs are a key step in the pathway from gene to protein. Summary

We present a DiCre-based inducible gene expression system for Leishmania parasites. This method allows for tightly controlled, time- and dose-dependent gene product expression, enabling functional studies without clonal selection.
