Sequential windowed acquisition of all theoretical fragment ion spectra (SWATH-MS) identified laminin β-1 (LAMB1) as a novel biomarker for colorectal cancer. LAMB1 shows improved diagnostic performance over carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in patient serum samples.
