Reproductive toxicity of perchlorate in rats

Perchlorate exposure in rats reduced live birth and weaning rates, decreased thyroid hormone levels, and increased sperm abnormalities. These findings suggest perchlorate causes reproductive toxicity by damaging testicular DNA and impairing sperm production.
