Reduced left ventricular diastolic function in women with posttraumatic stress disorder

Women with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) exhibit impaired left ventricular diastolic function. This cardiac dysfunction may explain the increased cardiovascular disease risk observed in women with PTSD.
