Aonla phytochemicals: extraction, identification and quantification.

Aonla (Indian gooseberry) extracts were analyzed for phytochemicals using RP-HPLC. Methanolic extracts of the Desi variety showed the highest levels of gallic acid and ellagic acid, indicating aonla is rich in beneficial compounds.
