[The capacity to mobilise care ethics in psychiatry]
1CH Bohars, route de Ploudalmézeau, 29820 Bohars, France.
Abstract:
Every act of care must have the patient's free, informed and lasting consent. Seeking prior consent to every care procedure which may concern the patient's liberty and dignity is a fundamental part of psychiatry. This approach helps to give meaning to the patient's words. The creation of a solid connection opens the way to the possible care tool, thereby giving space to clinical intuition. Each player has his or her own personal responsibility, which means putting to one side the notion of omnipotence and establishing dialogue based on the recognition of the other.
