Acute resuscitation with polyethylene glycol-20k: A thromboelastographic analysis

Polyethylene glycol-20,000 Da (PEG-20k) resuscitation improved survival in hemorrhagic shock pigs by increasing plasma volume. However, PEG-20k temporarily reduced platelet function, a likely consequence of its volume-expanding effects.
