Summary

Exercise training increased anti-inflammatory (IL-10) levels in people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS), normalizing them to healthy controls. This study shows exercise can regulate cytokine profiles relevant to pwMS.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate changes in plasma cytokine levels (IL-12p70, IL-6, IL-10) following a supervised cycle ergometer training program in people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS) and healthy controls (HC).
