    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the presence and function of calcium-dependent potassium channels in rat thymocytes.
    • To determine the role of these channels in lymphocyte activation.

    • Treatment of rat thymocytes with various agents (A23187 + Ca2+, ascorbate-phenazine methosulphate, propranolol, concanavalin A).
    • Measurement of potassium (K+) fluxes using rubidium (Rb+) as a tracer.
