Summary

Cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) is a rare, life-threatening complication where an ectopic pregnancy implants in a Cesarean section scar. Early diagnosis and prompt termination are crucial for patient safety.

Background:

Cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) is a rare but potentially life-threatening ectopic pregnancy complication.
Implantation occurs within a niche or defect of a previous Cesarean section scar.

Observation:

A 29-year-old woman (G5P3) with a 6-week amenorrhea presented with an empty uterus on initial sonography.
Transvaginal ultrasound revealed a small amiotic sac within the Cesarean section scar, without detectable cardiac activity.

Findings:

The case highlights the diagnostic challenge of Cesarean scar pregnancy.
Absence of clear heart rhythm in the implanted sac is a significant sonographic finding.
