Squamous cells in effusions: A study of 24 cases

Malignant squamous cells in serous effusions, particularly squamous cell carcinoma (SqCC), are rare and associated with a poor prognosis. This study analyzed 21 effusion specimens, finding metastatic SqCC in 19 cases.
