Conclusions:

  • YouTube videos alone, without instructor feedback, are insufficient to replace traditional supervisor-led sessions for learning knee arthrocentesis.
  • While students using YouTube videos performed similarly to each other, both lagged behind the traditional method initially.
  • Effective learner feedback is essential for mastering procedural skills, regardless of the initial learning resource.
