Is the Bombali virus pathogenic in humans?

Bombali virus, a novel Ebolavirus, may not be pathogenic in humans. Analysis of specificity determining positions (SDPs) suggests Bombali virus shares traits with non-pathogenic Ebolaviruses, despite some similarities with pathogenic strains.
