    Summary

    Sodium valproate did not significantly impact maternal care in lactating mice. While some behavioral changes were observed in dams treated during lactation only, overall maternal behaviors remained largely unaffected by the drug.

    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the impact of sodium valproate on maternal behavior in lactating mice.
    • To assess behavioral alterations in dams exposed to sodium valproate during pregnancy and lactation, or lactation only.
