She teaches in the MSN and DNP programs and is a member of Faith Community Nurses International. Maire Blankenship, DNP, RN, is an assistant professor in the School of Nursing at Western Kentucky University, teaching in the MSN and DNP programs. She also practices part-time in oncology/hematology as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Rural churches can bridge health disparities by implementing health promotion programs. This study details a successful church-based health ministry using the Healthy People 2020 framework.
