    Cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) disrupt local cortical blood flow (lCoBF) and CO2 reactivity (COR) in surrounding brain tissue. Excision of AVMs restores normal blood flow and pressure, improving brain perfusion.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the circulatory changes in the cortex adjacent to cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).
    • To assess the effects of AVMs on local cortical blood flow (lCoBF) and CO2 reactivity (COR).
    • To evaluate the hemodynamic changes following AVM excision.

    • Studied 18 patients with cerebral AVMs.
