BMP4 mutations in tooth agenesis and low bone mass

This study identified four mutations in the bone morphogenetic protein 4 (BMP4) gene in patients with tooth agenesis (TA). These BMP4 mutations are linked to dental anomalies and early-onset bone density loss, suggesting a role in skeletal diseases.
