Prostaglandins and related products profiled by GC/MS with negative-ion chemical-ionization detection

A simple procedure is described which permits the quantification of 6 primary prostaglandins and their 15-keto and 15-keto-13,14-dihydro metabolites. Analysis is made through high-resolution gas chromatography with detection by mass spectrometry in the negative ion chemical ionisation mode. The method is capable of detecting these products in normal whole blood.
