Unmasking right ventricular dysfunction in chronic rheumatic mitral regurgitation

Right ventricular systolic function is impaired in chronic rheumatic mitral regurgitation (CRMR). Speckle-tracking echocardiography revealed reduced right ventricular peak systolic strain (RVPSS) in CRMR patients, indicating earlier dysfunction.
