Intensive Glucose Control in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes - 15-Year Follow-up.

Intensive glucose control in type 2 diabetes veterans showed no long-term cardiovascular benefit after glycated hemoglobin levels equalized. The initial cardiovascular risk reduction was only observed during the period of separated glucose control.
