Summary

T lymphocytes regulate platelet functions in parasitic diseases. CD4+ T cells stimulate platelets via interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) to kill Schistosoma mansoni larvae, while CD8+ T cells produce a suppressive lymphokine (PASL) inhibiting this activity.
