Summary

Computer self-efficacy and enjoyment are key drivers for students continuing to use cloud e-learning. Other usability factors like perceived ease of use were not significant predictors in this study.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the usability factors influencing students' intention to continue using cloud e-learning applications.

  • A survey was conducted with 170 IT students in Malaysia over one trimester.
  • Five usability factors were analyzed: Computer Self Efficacy (CSE), Enjoyment (E), Perceived Ease of Use (PEU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), and User Perception (UP).
  • Data were analyzed using SMARTPLS 3.0 with a 30-question questionnaire.

  • Computer self-efficacy and enjoyment significantly predicted continuance intention.
  • Perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and user perception were found to be insignificant predictors.
  • Intrinsic motivations (CSE and E) are crucial for sustained use of cloud e-learning.
