Background:

The phenomenon of feeling overwhelmed is a common human experience.
Existing literature often describes overwhelm without fully capturing its complex nuances.
A need exists to explore the lived experience of overwhelm through novel conceptual frameworks.

Purpose of the Study:

To illuminate the 'now-truth' of feeling overwhelmed using the humanbecoming concept inventing model.
To present a new conceptualization of overwhelm as 'drowning frenzy amid potential calmness with the opportunities-restrictions of envisioning possibles'.
To introduce the concept of 'imaging the enabling-limiting of transforming' within a chosen artform.

Main Methods:

Application of the humanbecoming concept inventing model.
Conceptual analysis and synthesis of the feeling of overwhelm.
Artform as a medium for exploring and expressing the experience of transforming.

Main Results:

Feeling overwhelmed is characterized as a 'drowning frenzy' juxtaposed with potential calmness.
