[Pneumocephalus--a possible cause of postoperative convulsions following cervical laminectomy]

The occurrence of pneumocephalus internus and externus after cervical laminectomy performed in sitting position is reported. Generalised convulsions appeared as clinical signs that were resistant to conventional antiepileptic treatment. Diagnosis was made by identification of air collections in cranial CT-Scan.
