Evaluation of using ICD-10 code data for respiratory syncytial virus surveillance

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) surveillance using ICD-10 codes shows poor sensitivity for RSV-specific codes alone. Combining RSV-specific and general acute lower respiratory infection (ALRI) codes improves detection accuracy in children.
