Abstract:
The bis-dioxygenation of arachidonate to form the hydroperoxide, prostaglandin G2, is catalyzed by the cyclooxygenase activity of prostaglandin H synthase. This activity is stimulated by hydroperoxide, and it can be used to assay picomole amounts of hydroperoxide.
