Neural modifications in lower limb amputation: an fMRI study on action and non-action oriented body representations

Left lower limb amputation (LLA) alters brain activity in body representations, even without behavioral changes. This study reveals modified neural correlates for action-oriented (body schema) and non-action oriented representations in LLA individuals.
